Hi Tim,
By "lose power" do you mean that you still have battery power but the motor turns off?
If so, it is most probably a radio problem (aerial?) . Try a range test in air?

Re: Typhoon Doesn't Like Water
Hi Tim
Does the boat use a BEC or a RX Battery?
Are the servos still working or is it a TOTAL Power loss?
Any crystal changes been made?
Have you been using Russian swear words at it?

Re: Typhoon Doesn't Like Water
Hi all, thanks.
it was total power loss. found the issue now thank to John R(thanks again, I own you one big time).
The person that built the tyhoon had a light bulb in metal holder bolted to the alu lid to lower the voltage for the rotating radar.
Also there was ground cable on the front gearbox motor,
As it's got a water switch to turn the boat on, as soon as the the WTC or the gearbox shaft was just touching the water, it was grounding and the switch was turning the sub off.
Cheers
