    Just been trying this out with LoRa telemetry and my old faithful "Charlie" class:

    Adafruit MPRLS Ported Pressure Sensor Breakout - 0 to 25 PSI (Bought from PiHut in the UK)

    Seems to be working quite well. (Telemetry output is now signal strength, depth  and battery voltage.

    LATER EDIT: (January 2022) Still working well after a number of sailings. Surface telemetry value = 3. Dived to 0.5 m = 8

    it would be cool to see this combined with a sonar, then you get sub depth and depth under the boat.

    On my boat I have a lua script running that immediately halts the boat and holds position if the water gets below a set depth and sends a message to the operator so it doesn't run aground.
