Hi Just to say hello as I have just purchased a second hand model U boat.

I hope to repaint and get it surface operational soon as it is in reasonable condition, it had some history of being sunk for nearly 2 years in an essex pond. So currently not a static or dynamic diver yet.

So i'm interested in any feedback on the model maker and any background info if anyone has come across this.

It's detail is not that fine but it is big and solid around 67'' long. I'll try and work out how to add a couple of photos.

Thanks for that hint David, it seems spot on. The paperwork that came with it does say u570 so that seems correct. The first thing I have to do is hack the railings off from surounding the deck gun, that just looks wrong. Then a repaint to get a darker charcoal deck and bring the dark grey lower hull up to the top of the ballast tanks. The deck gun is interesting as it has a couple of electral connections and looks like it could fire small caps.
