Along with my ongoing 1/144 Kilo I have a 1/150 Academy Type IXB U boat that I'm converting to RC. The Type IX is a motorized scale model with one prop. Dives dynamically. A lever disguised as a radar dish pulls on a wire to active the rear dive planes up to surface the boat once she goes under and the cycle repeats.
I opened up the inside to accept the electronics. 2ch only throttle and rudder. Retained the automatic surfacing mechanism.
Very much similar to this.

Has anybody here done a similar conversion? Would love to see how you tackled yours.
