    It's done.

I've had blood tests, x rays, two huge injections(one in each ass cheek)and one in the top of my back. The specialist was shocked at how much internal swelling in my hands and shoulders I had...no wonder it hurt.

The result: it cannot be cured, that's not gonna happen, but the good news is that they make my life a lot more comfortable for me, and lessen the impact that it will have on my life over the next few years. There's also every chance that I will able to drive a car again, maybe as soon as Autumn time.

Now...I'm indulging in a black coffee and a smoke, and letting things calm down some.

Thanks for all the good wishes people, I appreciate every one of them.

Thanks Andy, it's great to feel more like myself again. My fingers seem to be settling down now, and the pain levels have dropped off dramatically. I've managed to lose over a stone and half in weight as well, which has to be beneficial to my overall health

I just have to be patient now, let the medication do it's job, and brace myself for those three injections in the ass every six weeks. Painful...but a small price to pay.

And with a bit of luck and a following wind, I'll be at Norwich this year!
