ok guys, new to the forum, new to subs, i have swapped some stuff for a couple of hulls, one is from my thoughts a v11 - the yellow hulled one, the grey however i not sure from the conning tower, i will have better pics once i pick the hulls up, also the makeup is totally different, the yellow hull i assume is a darnell, any ideas on the grey hull, also as that one has not instructions/plans etc has anyone got a set they could photocopy for me, obviously im willing to pay a reasonable price for them

    first the grey hulled one

they are a few fitting with this but no pics at moment

    next the assumed darnell v11

plus some of the fitting that are with it

the yellow `darnell` apparently has a lot of paperwork with it so hopefully i will have all i need to get it as a fully functioning boat, the grey hull even if that only ends up as a surface runner im happy, its not too far off 1/35 scale to accompany my 1/35 schnellboot around the pond

dont know if the images are too big, if you left click and open image in another tab you can see the full pic

    any help appreciated

Hi and welcome to the AMS forum...

Both of your hulls were made by Darnell Models...the grey one is the original U-47, the first boat that John Darnell produced way back.

The one in yellow primer looks like the later U-570/HMS Graph (the boat can be completed to represent either model).

Both were (and still are) good kits with the potential to be built into a nicely performing model, but they do need a lot of work on them.

Try giving Andy Griggs (Models by Design) a call, he may be able to help you out with a instruction drawing for the U-570, but the U-47 may be a different story, you may have troubles getting a drawing for that boat.
