Realizing that this is a bit of a hike for many on these forums, but figured that it couldn't hurt to let everyone know!
Time & Location
Sep 18, 8:00 AM EDT – Sep 20, 12:00 PM EDT
Red Clay Resort, 5510 Red Clay Rd, Cohutta, GA 30710, USA
The Red Clay Resort features a beautiful spring-fed pool with crystal clear water and concrete shorelines, power, restrooms, on site concessions, and camp grills. The venue is only 15 miles from the nearest town and offers on-site dry camping with restroom access.
Attendees will have the opportunity to run with other RC submarine skippers in perfectly clear water with onsite divers standing by to photograph and video your boat in action (and perhaps retrieve any unlucky boats that find their way to the bottom and stay there). Aside from the fun of networking with other sub captains, you'll have the chance to take in the massive assortment of other submarines, learn about new technology and techniques, attend onsite seminars, and participate in friendly contests for "Skipper's Choice" awards and prizes.
No boat? No problem! Come and try out the dedicated "newbie" subs that will allow you to get some stick time in with real RC submarines before you make your choice about which boat to get yourself!
Join us for 3 days of RC submarine operations, education, contests, raffles and above all... FUN! All are welcome, regardless of experience or even if you have a sub (yet) or not!
