Small Inflatable Bag Empty Small Inflatable Bag

Post  timgarrod Fri Aug 02, 2013 7:43 pm

Evening All, Need some advice on a small inflatable bag, I was going to use a small blood pressure bag but the smallest is to big for the rear on my S type. need it as the main bag is in front on the WTC so when empty the rear sticks up. but these bag are to big for space i have, I thought of using a coupe of thin long balloons inside each other, linked to the main bag so can add more lead in the rear to level it off when under. would this work or a stupid idea or do you have any better Ideas

    Cheers

    Hi Tim,
your main ballast needs to be in the middle of the boat, some of the early Darnell boats had the bag at the front and they never did work very well, adding proper trim tanks might help but it is really no substitute for a central tank.

Managed to get a other bag today, Thank for the offer Fred, I had to rejig it around a larger than thought but it really help making it sit higher, is it but to but the front bag where it is and have all the weight in the middle or have the bag where there the battery is and move the battery to where the bag is,

    Many Thanks

    Tim
