    Norbert Bruggen UB-1 for sale

    Post  Tom(ADMIN) on Fri Mar 23, 2012 4:35 pm

On behalf of a friend of mine, a Norbert Bruggen UB-1 is for sale...all there apart from the propshaft/tube. It's been dismantled, overhauled and got no further.

Pictures will be coming along later tonight, as will a short video of it's last trip out.

I'm told to ask £150 for it...a real bargain.

    Here's the video link

Apologies gentlemen, pictures won't be available until Monday due to a technical hitch beyond my control...

John, the boat is in Hull, I see no reason why it shouldn't be posted...I'll contact Pete (the guy who owns it) and get him to contact you on here.

I've finally managed to persuade Pete (the owner of the boat) to come over and join the forum (he's a bit shy....) so when he turns up later today, he'll be available to answer any questions you may have.

    Hi.
I have expressed an interest in your sub, would you post to Dorset,By courier,
and how much do you require for this.
Is the sub complete, and all the pieces there to get it running again.
    Many thanks for your time.

The boat does require work to get it running, no servo,s or speed controller or batteries, paint work is tired, bull hull is sound so is bayonet o ring, piston tank worked last time it was used and bts switch is new, some of the plastic keel fins and stabilizer fins will need to be renewed.
There are also some original plan drawings that i got with the kit, if you have any other questions I will try to answer them, Pete

Hi Pete thanks for getting back to me.
I will however pass on this sub, as my build history is nil
and i would not wish to mess up an exellent model
I am trying to build a robbe seawolf, at the moment and it is proving to be a pig.
So i think that i had better stick to the r.t.r. route.

    Many thanks for your time.
    Cheers John.

    selling

Post  wadsworthj on Wed Apr 04, 2012 1:45 pm

    Hi.
Can anybody throw any light as to why, when an artical is sold, or withdrawn,
it still remains on view for some considerable time, instead of being taken off.

It is somewhat annoying to find these adverts still clogging up the system.
Unless there is so much capacity on the site, it does not make a lot of difference,
This msg is not personal, just business.

    Cheers John.W.

Well, I'm awful sorry you don't like the way I handle the forum, but I will try and answer your question.

I tend to leave items that were posted in the for sale/wanted/ columns for a while so as other members who don't visit the forum quite as often as the others can keep up to date on what has sold and for how much and to whom. There is no set time limit, I remove items as and when I think they've been visible long enough and that our members have had adequate time to view something that they may have keeping an eye on.

I always ensure that the forum has more than adequate capacity for posts, photos, anything and everything that our members choose to post.

I trust that answers your question to your satisfaction, and I sincerely hope that your annoyance levels have fallen.

I must admit Richard that I didn't know that you deleted posts.

John, do you use the "View posts since last visit" so that you only see new stuff?
