    My First ROV

    Post  skippy on Thu Jan 12, 2012 9:13 pm

    I plan to build a ROV for fun, It cant be all that hard; oh perhaps it can be;

    I plan to update this index page: www.skippy.org.uk/projects/my-1st-rov/ with all the details as I go; but there will be loads of information on my blog, not to mention all the other details of my random thoughts on pressure, motors, servos, and programming skills.

    Please follow along, and comment as you see fit, especially to tell me I am wrong :D

    My Project overview is here: www.skippy.org.uk/rov-part-1-project-overview/ and everything of note will end up in GIT (there is a link to it from relevant pages).

    Another ROV man...welcome to the mad house!

    My main interest is in submersibles as against the run of the mill subs, I like them because of all the external bits and pieces they bristle with.

    I look forward to some pics of your build...good luck.

    Thank you for the welcome;

    I joined up mainly to get people to tell me when I was about to do something Stupid, so that I could see why it was a bad idea; or to try it any way :P

    my interest is more as a geek with no life, than a model maker, so my ROV will be all mod cons, but in no way a scale or even a semi scale model; oh and I will try things my way first; so it may end up with some really odd technologies.

    my first plan is to have a web server in it :P

    Welcome to our Forum - where you will find more than your fair share of geeks. (Only speaking for myself, you understand!)

    I share your liking for PVC pipe and have you seen the "Web in a Box" server articles in "Everyday Practical Electronics"?
