I've had a slight change of plan with the Type XX111 ballast system, instead of using that large water pump, I'm thinking of using my little Koge air pump, and inflating a small(ish) bag instead. I can attach the bag on top of the cylinder with velcro, that will save a lot of internal space in the cylinder.
Question: If I use the air in the cylinder to inflate the bag, what's the best way to release that air and return it to the cylinder? I'm guessing a small valve of some sort (I cannot find the solenoid valve that came with the pump) something like a servo operated pinch valve, along the lines of those used in the Sheerline boats? Or is there a better and easier way of doing it?
The smaller the better...
