      Gentlemen,

I've decided that owing to my health problems, I'm going to take a sabbatical from the world of model submarines. Once things start to improve, I'll be able to get back into it, but for the time being, I'm going to concentrate on trying to get myself better.

I will still look after the forum and the website, nothing will change there, and I'll still carry on a Secretary if you'd like, it's just the physical side of building that I can't do properly at this time.

Hope you all understand my reasons for my decision, it wasn't taken lightly.

      Regards,

      Richard

Obviously a difficult decision to make but a wise move Richard if I may say so, it is much easier to remain at peace and relaxed and to allow the body to heal when we're not struggling to achieve things what we used to find easy and getting frustrated and dejected in the process. I know from my own experience recently when I did little but exist for nearly 2 years to ever so slowly overcome a similar health problem, but there's always light at the end of a tunnel, so you have my best wishes for a steady recovery,

      Richard,
I am really sorry to hear that your building will stop. Like others, I look forward to you getting better (and building again). Although we might not see you building in the near future, I am glad that you are not dropping out completely and will continue to share your knowledge. I thank you for all that you have done and for the assistance you have always provided.

      Dear Richard,

it makes me sad to read this news. I can only wish all the best for you to recover from your health problems like the other friends of the forum community wish, too. You keep still being further on a model submariner even when you are not planning or building new models.

      Kind regards and best wishes

Gentlemen, I thank you all for your kind words and your good wishes, you don't know much I appreciate them all.

I'm getting so fed up doing nothing here, I'm driving myself mad...so, although I'm not really ready yet, I'm going to order myself a new kit this morning. Even if I only manage to drill one flood hole a day, it'll be something...luckily, my new boat only has a few slots/holes to open up.

      Thank you all once again...
