Just a little taste so far of the first day to give you some encouragement to come tomorrow (Sunday).

Good water quality, as you can see, but the weather is a bit wet this weekend. Some nice sunny intervals this afternoon.

Thanks to all at Norwich MBC, particularly Paul C for manning the gate. (You need to loop back on yourself driving in - don't turn right across the traffic.)

    See you tomorrow!

What a remarkable sub David.....I’m eager to see some more pictures of it.
Can I find a building report of it on the forum?

    Many thanks Bart!

The works of the Rev Garrett have been a project for me for the last few years! (A significant local lad - he was from Manchester.) I will be putting some more photos up today and I plan to do an article for this Forum when the diary clears in autumn.

But basically the Resurgam, Turkish and Russian all share the same WTC. (Brushless drive, proportional piston tank, UHF radio & LIPO battery) inside my own grp hulls built on clay formers. )

I've finally got them looking OK (if battered!)and working reasonably (as you can see) and they will be on the AMS stand  at Haydock Park

Very nice twin X craft surfacing (or mating!) Owners are both from local MBCs but  I don't have their names (Help please!):

(Later edit. One of the owners has stepped forward as Alan W of Norwich MBC. We think the other owner is from Norwich MBC. Many thanks!)

brillant photos, looks like you all had a good weekend.

If you want to change the date on the fob camera, when you put your memory card in the pc you see a TXT file. just open it up and enter the current date in this format 2015-08-03 21:08:00. It a pain as you have to do it each time, I stop after doing it a few times.

Norwich Sub Weekend 2015 Empty Twin X craft

    Post  david f Wed Aug 05, 2015 10:50 am

A number of people have been asking about and been impressed by the twin X craft demonstration.

I have just had a pm from one of the owners Alan W of Lowestoft MBC. He thinks the other owner is from Norwich MBC.

Very nice - you should think about forming a demonstration team!

    Step forward that man!

I have just had a pm from the other X craft owner. It is Stuart H of Norwich Club (Ex docky on here)

He actually helped work on X-24 in preparing it for the HMS Dolphin museum.

Lovely sub and a great demo. Many thanks!

This is an odd video - a tracking shot along the length of the pond concentrating on my Russian Nordenfelt but including everyone there and their subs. I need a Steadycam or perhaps a Merricam!
