458mhz ELRS RC systems Empty 458mhz ELRS RC systems

I have started to see 433mhz ELRS RC systems, but they would need to use a PWM breakout as i don't think there are any receivers with servo connections at the moment. They seem to have a wide frequency range so it shouldn't be an issue to run them at 458.5mhz

That looks very interesting and at a very reasonable price.

The receiver looks so small I couldn't zoom in on it!

I don't know much about commercial "drone" systems. What type of data does the RX output?

It outputs CRSF so you would need to convert that to pwm using an arduino or off the shelf adapter like this

I would love to know where they are getting their firmware.  ExpressLRS configurator doesn't have a preset for any 4xx mhz hardware.

    and....

I believe it was release 3.3 that changed that output requirement.  you can now choose s-bus or crsf output from an ELRS receiver.

    and....

of course one was ordered, simply because i have to test it. Interesting that the choices were either "1 tx" or "1 tx and 1 rx". no choice for "1 rx".

I cant find much information on it, i think it might be running custom firmware.

I think its a version of this

So the Aliexpress package arrived tonight, I haven't had time to do anything but check/test the transmitter module in a trusted transmitter, and it all checks out okay. even has relatively recent 3.5.1 version firmware on it (latest is 3.5.3)
