i have a vented system v11c submarine the ballest tank is fitted with a brass nipple which has no non return valve in top of ballest tank ,will i have to fit a tee valve to the nipple to prevent water being drawn into the tank when submerged

Could you post a picture or two of the valve, etc...that would give us a better idea of the problem.
