    The date for next year's SubDay is pencilled in for Sunday 22nd July 2012 at Inverleith. I have been in touch with Paul Cook at Norwich so that we don't conflict with their 2-day event as I hope to be there too. Our event this year was held in great weather with 45 subs and a further 40 targets present - so mark it in your diaries. All submariners are welcome.

    Just a brief reminder that Edinburgh MBC's SubDay will be on Sunday 22nd July at Inverleith Park. The pond is currently clear and the levels are being adjusted to make sure diving is possible. Let's just hope the weather is kind to us - or is that a forlorn hope this year? The display tables, gazebo etc should be available from circa 10.00am and limited parking within the gates is available to visiting entrants. There will be a steward on the gate at the end of Portgower Place to assist. PLenty of free parking in the vicinity otherwise. Members of all clubs are welcome.

    Ooh, how I wish I could...Norwich and Edinburgh are the two shows I would really like to do one of these days.

    Good luck for a grand day up there, everyone...we shall be stood standing by for a whole bunch of photos to drool over.

    Good weather is not impossible - the last 2 days have been good in Cumbria and even this weekend is supposed to be OK.

    Our SubDay went well - and it didn't rain for the first time in weeks. Mind you there was a right 'hoolie'of a gale blowing. Well over 30 subs on show with visitors from as far away as the Potteries. There was a bit of the dreaded weed around but as can be seen in picture 4 it tended to have a dramatic effect on the surfacing subs! A short video of the event will be posted on You Tube by the weekend and I'll post the link here when it becomes available. My grateful thanks to all the visiting competitors and the helpers from EMBC.
