    Hello there.
    Can any body please point me in the
    right direction, for a wtc to fit the 1/28 scale seaview.
    apart from it being 39" in length, i have no other measurments,
    untill it arrives.
    Has any one any info on the r/c ing of these beasts.
    any help would be great.

    Depends on what you want the boat to do, John...for a water pump based ballast system, I'd suggest you buy a length of tube, ask Mark at MMB to make you up the end caps, and fit the cylinder out yourself.

    If you want a full blown piston tank system as in my Skipjack, then have a word with Ron Perrott, he'll make you a complete module same as mine

    Hi Richard.
    As there are so few of these around that have been, r/c d.
    I think that the easiest way forward, would, be to go dymanic, and ballast the deck just awash,
    This model i think would present best as a surface runner, so to speak.
    But untill i can get the diameter amidships i am just fishing round.
    It is a project ive had in mind for sometime.
    and as they can be had under £100. now is the time to make a start.

    Well then, all you'd really need would be a length of tube, two end caps and a tray inside the tube to mount the radio, batteries and motor upon. A length of tube will cost you around £10-15, depending on the diameter you need...a pair of end caps from Mark at MMB around £20-25, and a sheet of styrene about a fiver. And there you have the basic wtc for a dynamic dive boat. Add the prop shaft and watertight linkage exits, again from MMB, and you've got yourself a wtc for around £50 ish. Nice, cheap, and effective. A couple of days work should see it completed and ready to test in the bath.

    Hi.
    Having given the seaview project much thought,
    i am of a mind that it might prove too much of a challenge,so i am purchasing a robbe class 212 federal german sub. they look to have upped their game since the seawolf.
    So here goes nothing.
    When i get started, ill try and post a build sequence.
    Should be fun !!

    You're going to build the Robbe 212 John...I had the Steve Neill 212, a totally different beast.

    Have a look around Big Dave Welch's website, somewhere on there is a short piece of video and an explanation of how X tail rudders work, and how to get them to work in model size.
