Work bench ideas anyone? Empty Work bench ideas anyone?

I am just about starting to re-fit the utility room/ down stairs loo/ workshop following the revamp of our rear extension. I seem to have even less space than I had planned and I'm sharing it with the washing machine!
But I have a suitable space for a workbench about 1300mm long and 50mm wide. I want to be able to do the usual submarine building things and I would like a vice on it.
I would prefer it to be movable and floor mounted rather than fixed to the wall.
Anyone got any ideas for building one or buying one?

It is difficult to find my camera at the moment because of the decorating work going on!

The space is 1300 mm long and 500mm wide (sorry I said 50mm earlier!)

The height is whatever is needed. (I believe that one good test for a workshop height is level with your elbow, when standing up.)

The washing machine does not take up any part of this space. It is at one end of the room.

I am planning to put shelving all round the room (The sort that has steel U cross section pieces screwed to the walls with double slots in to fix shelves) But I don't really want to fix the workbench to the wall.

The floor is insulated concrete with vinyl covering.

Any ideas for what you all do and work on would be useful.

    David
