    British K class plans..

    Post  Tom(ADMIN) on Mon Mar 21, 2011 9:51 am

Should anyone be interested, I have some pretty good plans for the British K class steam powered subs, along with some useful pictures.

They are big .pdf files, so they will take a minute or six to download.

Hi, and welcome to the forum..

What type of boat are you interested in building? We have a quite comprehensive series of plans, so if you like to let me know what you are after, I'll see what I can come up with for you.

    Hi,
the National Maritime Museum at Greenwhich have a full set of builders plans for the X1 cruiser submarine, they are not cheap from what I remember it came out about £100-00 for a full set of copies, they are 9ft long,Gosport have a set of drawings but I am not sure how good they are,I seem to remember Margret Bidney telling me that they where not good enough to build from.
    Nigel.

    Hi,
Just to clarify, the ones from the maritime museum are first rate and are the original plans that where used to build the original boat, they where donated to the museum by chatham dockyard,
    regards Nigel.

Nigele; thank you for quick reply
    That is great!
    Is that around $150.00 U.S.?
Do you know anyone with a used set I could buy?
If not then that is the price{ my dad said -
    don't be cheep!]but I have to try.
    I'd like to make a 350 scale-then 144 scale model
and working bigger one for the pool or lake .
that is the plan anyways , after i get the plans.

    As always thank you!

P.S. some day i'll figure out posting pictures
    of my models .
