    These two ideas are from Alf, very clever they are too...

    First one is for a magnet switch....





    Second one is a geared drive for opening torpedo doors, hatches, even raising perscopes...

    That's very good.

    It saves all the bother of limit switches and means that it could operate in water, for example.

    I wonder how big it could get? Would it work for a piston tank?
