    Hi I am a bit of a WW2 history and related models fan. I am getting towards completion of a 1/16th RC Tiger tank and looking for next big project. After watching Das Boot recently for the first time there seems only one logical idea!

    I am currently looking at two models the first from
    .otwdesigns.com and is the german-submarines-wwii/type7-uboat/  looks amazing but quite pricey.

    The second is from
    .cornwallmodelboats.co.uk and is the krick_uboat more reasonable price but not sure on realism of model.

    Any comments suggestions would be appreciated.

    How about Revell's 1/72 scale Type VIIC ( 2 variants available) or Type IX. Both have been successfully converted to RC.

    thanks for reply. Had a look online at someone that did that, and looks a bit too much for a first attempt at world of subs.

    I was considering the Revell 1/72 as my next static model build.:-)

    Another option would be Bronco's Type XXIII 1/35 scale. Easy build and lots of room. Plus you can detail away if you so choose.
