I'm no expert on techie stuff, but I think you'll need all the bells and whistles installed in your tx to run the Typhoon. There's an awful lot of stuff in that boat that needs separate channels, so I'd think you'd need the full house.

Have a look at Westbourne Models website, they do most of the Robbe modules and decoders, etc.

      Hi,
A robbe decoder splits one channel into several, to do this you require a multiprop decoder in the boat this plugs into one channel on the receiver, you also require a multi switch unit in the tx, not cheap but it will increase the amount of channels by at least six.
look on ebay particularly Germany,I also think westbourne models keep them in stock.

the manual says 3 channels for the tmax dive sysyem, one for rudder, throttle, dive planes, dive planes retract, bow truster and periscope which is 9 channels, so if im using an ff9 will i be ok, also is the robbe switch unit and decoder compatable with a futaba ff9

      Hi,
you should be ok with 9 channels I think,I dont think that you would be able to use the ff9 with a robbe decoder, not because they are incompatible but simply from what I can remember the ff9 has no provision for the switch unit in the case, check with westborne models they will be able to tell you.
