Before I started my RC project, I basically rediscovered my love for submarine models by building static models. This is my masterpiece. I took a 1:72 scale Type IIb model and from scratch converted it to a highly detailed cut-away model. The interior is completely designed in 3D using CAD. The design is based on a basic overview drawing of the boat and photos from the interior of the original that I found online. All parts are made by 3D printing and are detailed with photo etched parts.
