    Wireless charging Empty Wireless charging

I have been looking at ways of charging the sub without having to remove the battery. has anyone tried embedding a wireless charging receiver into the hull so it just needs a wireless charger to be in proximity of it ? they can charge up to around 10 watts but even half that would be fine for slow charging since im not planning on having it out every day.

i am not against leaving the battery in place while charging, but NEVER charge a battery in a sealed space. they vent gases, some of which are toxic, some of which are explosive (sealed lead acid and agm batteries vent hydrogen)

I haven't used anything but lithium for over 10 years. It would be getting a lithium pack. I wouldnt use lead batteries these days for anything unless you really need the ballast. They aren't cheap and if you're worried about fire there are LiFe cells that are much less reactive. I have sank boats so many times they might as well have been submarines, but with all the electronics conformal coated it never stopped working, even with gouges cut out of lithium cells by motor couplings they would just fizz a little.
